Silverado Funding, LLC is based in the Pacific Northwest in the Portland, OR metropolitan area. Our founders include:

Jay Hinrichs

Jay Hinrichs has over 32 years experience in the real estate and mortgage lending industries.  He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Oregon and a licensed mortgage banker in Oregon.  Jay began his career in the Bay Area specializing in land development and brokering ranch and timber properties in Northern California.  As President of Langer Mortgage in Oakland, California he oversaw a traditional investor pooled funding company with 35 milion in assets and over 250 investors.  Langer was subsequently acquired by Spartan Mortgage in 1991.  Mr. Hinrichs was also the owner of Cedar Mountain, LLC a firm that bought and sold timber rights and properties.  It was also engaged in land development and created several subdivisions in the Portland Metro area during the 1990's.  Mr. Hinrichs is currently managing owner of Silverado Group, LLC and other associated companies, including Silverado Funding. 

Jay is still involved in certain real estate activities including developments in Oregon and Washington but has been focused on establishing the funding company which started in early 2006.  Jay's diverse experience over the last three decades has placed him in an advantageous position regarding knowledge of market trends and is an exceptional resource. 

 David C. Scott, Esq.

A graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, David worked as an account executive at Tiffany & Co. in the Corporate Sales division in New York City. He also worked as a sales executive at Polo Ralph Lauren in Corporate Sales. David graduated from Whittier Law School in Orange County, California. He is a member of the New York Bar and the Oregon Bar under rule 16(b). He worked as a Senior Attorney at Binder & Binder specializing in Social Security Disability law. Currently he is House Counsel and Managing Member of Silverado Funding, LLC., as well as a loan originator for the company.

 Karen Lord Castaneda, CPA

Karen graduated from Portland State University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1994. She is a member of the Oregon Society of CPA’s and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Karen has worked in the public and private sector since 1988. She has experience in the manufacturing, retail, heavy construction, timber and real estate industries. Karen has worked with Jay Hinrichs for 13 years and has partnered in two other small business ventures with him. She is currently a Managing Member and Chief Financial Officer of Silverado Funding. She oversees all financial transactions and accounting functions for the lending company as well as several other real estate investment companies owned in whole or part by Mr. Hinrichs.
